    Semi-Precious Stone Bracelets

Semi-precious stone bracelets carry something no gold-plated chain can replicate-the weight of a natural material, shaped by the earth over millions of years. At By Alona, each bracelet in this collection is set with a genuinely natural stone: peridot, rose quartz, rhodochrosite, tiger's eye, agate, chrysoprase, riverstone or freshwater pearl. No synthetic alternatives, no dyed glass. Just stone, gold and craft.  Every piece is handcrafted in London under the direction of designer Alona Shelemy, who trained at the GIA (Gemological Institute of America). The collection currently includes eleven designs, each chosen for the quality of its stone and the integrity of its setting.

    A Stone for Every Woman

The collection spans eleven distinct designs-each centred on a different stone or stone combination. Whether you are drawn to the gentle pink of rose quartz, the earthy warmth of tiger's eye or the vivid green of peridot, there is a stone in this collection that will resonate personally. Below is a guide to what is currently available.

    Peridot-SYLVIE, WILLOW-£65–£70

Associated with renewal, positivity and vitality. Recognised by its vivid yellow-green tone.

    Rose Quartz - EVA-£150

The stone of unconditional love. Soft pink tone, often associated with self-care and romance.

    Rhodochrosite + Chrysoprase - PIA - £65

Rhodochrosite for emotional healing; chrysoprase for abundance. A pairing of complementary pink and green tones.

    Red Quartz + Riverstone-MIELE (two versions)-£105 each

Red quartz for energy and confidence; riverstone for calm and flow. Both versions feature the same gold setting with different stone characters.

    Freshwater Pearl-VENUS-£75

One of the oldest symbols of purity and femininity. Each pearl is naturally formed and individually shaped.

    Natural Agate-ROSALIE -£105

Known for grounding and balance. Natural agate carries visible banding-each stone a unique pattern formed over centuries.

    Pearl + Tiger's Eye-VIVIENNE-£85

A pairing of pearl's softness with tiger's eye strength and golden warmth. A bracelet that works across moods.

    Quartz-CARLY, SIENNA (Rainbow)-£72-£75

Quartz in its natural form is one of the most abundant yet varied stones- CARLY in classic clear, SIENNA in nbow of mixed faceted stone.

    Why Natural Stone?

Every stone used in this collection is natural-meaning it was formed in the earth, not manufactured in a lab or artificially coloured. This is a deliberate choice. Natural stone brings variation: two SYLVIE Bracelets in peridot will share the same form but carry slightly different tones of green. The ROSALIE Bracelet in natural agate will show its own unique banding pattern. No two pieces are identical.

This variation is not a flaw. It is precisely what makes a semi-precious stone bracelet worth wearing. You are not buying a mass-produced piece-you are buying the particular stone that found its way into that particular setting, on that particular day in the London studio.

    Gifting and Meaning

Semi-precious stone bracelets have long been given as meaningful gifts-not simply because they are beautiful, but because stones carry associations that feel personal. Peridot for renewal. Rose quartz for love. Tiger's eye for courage. Agate for grounding. If you are choosing a gift for someone, the stone symbolism can turn a bracelet into something that carries intention.

All By Alona semi-precious stone bracelets are priced between £65 and £150. Free UK delivery is included on every order. For further stone-set jewellery beyond bracelets, explore our semi-precious necklaces collection.

    Stacking and Styling

Stone bracelets wear well alone-a single piece on a bare wrist can be more powerful than a stack. They also layer naturally with By Alona's chain bracelets and bangles for a more curated wrist look. The key is restraint: one or two pieces of stone with a fine chain, rather than stacking multiple heavy pieces on the same wrist.

How to Care for Your Stone Bracelet

    ●    Remove before swimming, bathing or applying perfume and skincare products
    ●    Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight-some stones may fade over time
    ●    Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing
    ●    Store separately in a soft pouch or the original box to prevent scratching
    ●    Natural stone variation is not a defect-it is the mark of a genuinely natural material

    FAQs

Q1: What semi-precious stones does By Alona use in bracelets?
A: By Alona uses a range of natural semi-precious stones in its bracelet collection — including aventurine, jade, lapis lazuli, rhodochrosite, Indian agate, and peridot. Each stone is natural, which means no two pieces are identical. The specific stones available vary by design and season.
Q2: Are semi-precious stone bracelets from By Alona natural?
A: Yes. By Alona uses genuinely natural semi-precious stones — not synthetic or dyed glass alternatives. This is central to the brand's commitment to material quality and responsible sourcing. The natural variation in each stone is considered a feature, not a flaw.
Q3: How much do By Alona semi-precious stone bracelets cost?
A: Semi-precious stone bracelets at By Alona are priced between £65 and £150, depending on the stone type and design. Options include the SYLVIE Bracelet from £65, the CARLY Quartz Bracelet at £72, VIVIENNE Pearl and Tiger's Eye at £85, and the EVA Rose Quartz Bracelet at £150. Free UK delivery is included on all orders.
Q4: Can semi-precious stone bracelets be worn every day?
A: Most semi-precious stone bracelets from By Alona are designed for regular wear, though natural stones benefit from simple care. We recommend removing them before swimming, using perfume or applying skincare products. Wiping gently with a soft cloth after wearing helps maintain their natural lustre over time.
Q5: What is the difference between semi-precious and precious stones in jewellery?
A: Precious stones are limited to diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires. Semi-precious stones — such as peridot, rose quartz, agate and rhodochrosite — encompass a far broader range of naturally occurring minerals. Semi-precious stones offer rich colour, natural variation and meaningful symbolism, often at a more accessible price point than precious equivalents.
Q6: Do By Alona semi-precious stone bracelets make good gifts?
A: Semi-precious stone bracelets are among the most popular gifting choices at By Alona, particularly for birthdays and anniversaries. Each stone carries its own symbolism — peridot for renewal, agate for balance, rose quartz for love — which adds a personal dimension to gifting. Pieces are available from £65 with free UK delivery included.
Q7: Are By Alona semi-precious stone bracelets gold plated?
A: Yes. The metal components of By Alona's semi-precious stone bracelets — including clasps, settings and chain links — are gold plated. The brand uses premium gold plating applied to a base metal, finished to a high standard by the London design studio. The natural stones themselves are set without plating, preserving their authentic appearance and colour.
